As a kid, Matheus was always troubled by how his creative mind would serve a role in society and after moving to the U.S.A. from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he discovered his calling in Theatrical Arts. In 2014, Matheus’s Design for the Opera “The Happy Prince” was featured in the National Theatre Technology conference by USITT. Matheus was also one of 6 Set Designers featured in USITT’s juried exhibit; 2014 Young Designer’s and Technicians Forum. With a B.A. in Theatre Arts as well as a B.A. in Arts from Rowan University, Matheus’s most recent design credit includes The Three Penny Opera for Rowan University Department of Theatre and Dance (RUDTD) which received a Regional Scenic Award by the Kennedy Center Collegiate Theatre Festival, Sticky (World Premier) by Melanie Stewart and Da.
